Biking to the Basin Blossoms
March 2025. We biked the Mt Vernon Trail to the Tidal Basin to see the cherry blossoms. The basin was full of admirers from around the country and world. The people watching was next-level, with my favorite genre being the tourists posing in fake "contemplation" poses at the MLK memorial.
Unfortunately the Woodrow Wilson bridge has been in the news-it was the landmark that the Blackhawk pilots were supposed to use to identify the CRJ with which they collided on approach to DCA. The bike trail goes right underneath it and the shadows made for some nice snaps.
