Sleepless in Seattle
March 2025. In 2009 in Cambridge MA I attended a screening of Humpday, hosted by its director Lynn Shelton. She explained that one of her goals was to make a movie in Seattle that contained no evidence of the Space Needle. Enamoured by the city’s nocturnal imagery and neon signage more so than its aging icon, here’s a take on the same assignment...minus the satire of “gay chicken.”
