Desert Dreams of Dunes and Dromedaries
March 2025. The small town of Bidiya is the gateway to the Omani desert. After airing down the tires of our Mitsubishi Pajero, we followed our guide’s vehicle deep into the dunes to find a Bedouin camp where we explored the sand drifts, bottle-fed newborn goats, rode camels, and spent the night in a tent.
