March 2026
Exactly one year since my DC in Bloom photoset, my wife and I took another walk through Washington to soak in the sights and sun of the first warm day of Spring. We started with brunch at the Georgetown Waterfront and then worked our way up Rock Creek to the Phillips Collection, where a special Joan Miró exhibition had just opened. We continued on to the ultra-hyped Happy Ice Cream, enjoying the cherry blossoms and architecture en route. The day concluded at Mita where we feasted on a vegetarian tasting menu featuring refined takes on classic dishes from Latin America.
It was one of those Spring days that felt unhurried and full, a reminder to appreciate simply wandering the city together.
