2. Unreachable Heights at the Udvar-Hazy

Consider this an ode to a nation’s past glory, featuring some other icons at the world’s greatest aviation museum. I first visited the Udvar-Hazy Center in 2017 and, as a huge aviation geek, was completely awestruck. Of course this visit also provoked the same sense of wonder, but with the current political climate my overwhelming emotion was a wistful nostalgia.
There’s a sadness in realizing that our nation may never again achieve feats as incredible as the Space Shuttle or SR-71 programs.
